Day 1: Santiago
Upon arrival, airport reception outside the customs / immigration area and private
transportation to the leafy Lastarria district. This drive takes approximately 25 minutes
under normal traffic conditions.
Check in for a three-night stay at The Singular Santiago (one double-occupancy

Day 2: Santiago
Breakfast at The Singular Santiago
Morning departure for a privately guided tour of Santiago’s most noteworthy historical and cultural sites. Today you will make stops in the City Center, Santa Lucia Hill and San Cristobal Hill. This tour takes approximately four hours and can be adapted to fit your interests.
Afternoon departure for a privately guided day tour of the Maipo Valley, located approximately one hour south of Santiago. The Maipo Valley produces fine Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. In fact, over 70% of the vineyard acreage here is dedicated to Cabernet. The country's first vines were planted here in 1546, and cultivation has
flourished. Enjoy a tour and tasting at the Almaviva and Santa Rita wineries.

Day 3: Santiago, Valparaiso and Santiago

Privately guided tour to Valparaiso and the neighboring town of Viña del Mar. The
port of Valparaiso is a cliff-hanging collection of pastel neighborhoods, funiculars
and viewpoints. In recognition of it's unique architecture and setting, the city's historic
quarter was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2003. Neighboring Viña del
Mar is known for its wide beaches, nightlife, and fine dining. For all its fame, the
center of Viña still retains a sense of quiet charm. Horse-drawn carriages ply the side
streets, and the palm shaded plazas welcome strolling couples and earnest chess
players.

Day 4: Santiago to Antarctica

Private transportation to the Santiago airport. This drive takes approximately 25
minutes under normal traffic conditions.
Upon arrival, airport reception outside the luggage claim area
Arrive in Punta Arenas, Chile, before 2 PM where you are welcomed by cruise staff
and transferred to your hotel. In the afternoon, you attend a mandatory briefing that
provides important information about your voyage and reviews the essential
guidelines for Antarctic visitors. Later, gather for a welcome dinner and meet your
fellow adventurers while enjoying a typical regional menu5
Day 5: Antarctica

Your Antarctic adventure begins with a two-hour flight from Punta Arenas to King
George Island, in the South Shetland Islands. As you exit the airplane, the clear
Antarctic air fills your lungs for the first time. The 2-km (1.25-mi) walk to the shore,
where you board a Zodiac to embark your expedition vessel, takes you through
Chile’s Frei Station and Russia’s Bellingshausen Station6
Day 6: Antarctica

Day 3-6: Cruise between the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the
Antarctic Peninsula, sailing along ice-filled fjords and among spectacular icebergs,
while enjoying the company of sea birds, penguins, seals and whales. Each day,
disembark by Zodiac and explore the landscape together with expert polar guides. On
board the ship, attend an engaging program of lectures and presentations, and enjoy
views from the lounge while sharing your daily adventures with fellow guests.No
journey is the same as flexibility is the key to success in Antarctica. The Expedition

Return to King George Island and bid farewell to Antarctica before boarding the flight
back to Punta Arenas. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for the night. (Note: Meals
in Punta Arenas are at your leisure and not included in the program).11
Day 11: Antarctica to Puerto Natales

Meet with the guides to plan your activities for the coming days. A list of offered tours
can be found here.
Day at leisure for half-day or full-day tours with other hotel guests. Recommended touring: the cruise to the Serrano and Balmaceda glaciers. Afterward, you may spot sea lions near the waterfalls in the fjord. Enjoy lunch at Estancia Peninsula, followed by a sheep shearing. This tour is subject to guide assessment and local weather conditions. Touring may be changed by staff at the Singular Patagonia.

Day 12: Puerto Natales, Santiago and New York

Group-basis lodge transfer to Punta Arenas (PUQ) for you flight home. This transfer
takes approximately 2 .5 hours.
