It is one of the oldest castles in Denmark and has a fascinating story dating back to the 12th century. You will sleep and eat in the historic buildings, that used to house the most important men and women in the Kingdom of Denmark. At Dragsholm Castle, the ambition is to welcome guests so that they may enjoy a unique combination of history, culture and gourmet food. Around Dragsholm Castle, the forest and the fields offer visitors superior nature and hunting experiences. At the end of Dragsholm Alley, there is a first-class sandy beach. After the castle breakfast, we suggest a drive via Elsinore back to Copenhagen. In Elsinore, you can visit the newly build Maritime Museum as well as the famous renaissance Kronborg Castle known all over the world as Elsinore Castle and the setting for William Shakespeare's tragedy Hamlet. The drive from Elsinore to Copenhagen takes you along the lovely coast, with small fishing villages and the best modern art museum in Denmark –Louisiana. It has gained a reputation as a museum in touch with the zeitgeist of the contemporary art world. It takes its point of departure in the period after 1945 including artists like Picasso, Giacometti, Andy Warhol, and Rauschenberg. Its sculpture garden is magnificent. You can also have lunch in the lovely museum’s café. In Copenhagen, you will be staying at the great Hotel d’Angleterre.

On this tour, you will gain insights into the Copenhagen bike culture, while experiencing it. During the tour we will pass by many of excellent examples of how Copenhagen has accommodated to its many cyclists: Bryggebroen – a bike and walk only bridge that has created a much-needed shortcut between two Copenhagen neighbourhoods. Dronning Louises Bro – the busiest bike path in the world. The first part of the Super Cycling Highway. We will ride slowly and make plenty of stops where the guides will provide insight into the history of the development of biking in Copenhagen.

Day 6: At your own leisure

Today is entirely at your own leisure to explore the city. We recommend you spend the day visiting some of Copenhagen’s fascinating museums or enjoying a fun day at Tivoli Gardens, the famous amusement park, which is one of the most popular attractions in Copenhagen and located in the heart of the city. We also recommend visiting Vesterbro - an area that is referred to as “The Other Copenhagen” by the New York Times. A visit to Carlsberg is also much recommended!
