Argentina Highlights

South America > Argentina

A Memorable Trip In Southern Latitudes

Argentina is a huge country with many sought after natural wonders. We know balance is essential when planning, so itineraries combine must see attractions with bucket list experiences. Travel the slow road to discover the essence of Argentina. Spice it with your own selection of well know highlights, you chose them (they is what brought you here in the first place). But if you are reading this, you are an innovator and master of your life. Let us match your wandering spirit.  We have designed two itineraries as from 10 days, including an estancia because you have not been to Argentina if you have not woken up to the voices of gauchos bringing the horses in, crackling fire, the wind coming down from the Andes, or sipped mate looking at the sun hanging over the endless Pampas.  We believe in the real stuff, the details Argentines long for when they travel abroad. We have carefully selected high quality locations with a genuine story, for an unequalled Argentina experience.

Day 1: BUENOS AIRES

Upon arrival into Buenos Aires airport, you are met and transferred to your hotel. Based on your arrival time, you will be taken out for some sightseeing.

Enjoy spending a day through the streets of Buenos Aires on our customized route, showing you all of the highlights and many well- kept secrets that you can't find in a guide book. You will feel the vibe of the different Buenos Aires barrios as we take you from traditional and classy Recoleta known for French influenced architecture. From there we continue our way through Retiro, Plaza de Mayo and San Telmo. Then we will continue to La Boca neighborhood; you will really get to see and feel the essence of the porteño; a combination of Spanish heritage with immigrant influence. Also to be seen is the city’s newest neighborhood, the modern Puerto Madero, a small strip east of the city. Last but not least, you will visit amazing and hip Palermo; a traditional neighborhood that was abandoned for years and now has become the hippest and up-and-coming place in the city, with its cobblestone streets and small shops, great restaurants and old refurbished houses. Enjoy an early dinner on your own.

Day 2: BUENOS AIRES

After breakfast, we will start moving north, but now, to the residential area. Enjoy a day to the North of Buenos Aires in the neighborhoods called San Isidro and Tigre. Discover the heart of San Isidro, the expansive Hippodrome and never ending tracks of the Jockey Club, a very traditional private club. Next, we will give you a sneak peek into the equestrian world, a once in a lifetime experience and a must-see in Buenos Aires. We will try to meet a famous jockey, but it all depends if there are races or not in the tracks. Drive along the residential area of San Isidro where the most traditional families used to live or have their weekend homes. See the river with a view from the hills of San Isidro, and explore the coast, including beautiful mansions and artisanal fairs. If the sky is clear, we can even see our neighboring country, Uruguay. We will continue driving north and get to Tigre. Tigre is a city that lives and breathes water. Our own special “Venice” is a must see. We will take a private boat through the Delta and we will show you the life of the isleños, who are the people that live in the islands of the Delta. Lunch in the Delta and return in the early afternoon. Rest and siesta and prepare for a tango evening at Rojo Tango. Tonight you head to one of the best Tango shows in the city with full course dinner.

LA BAMBA DE ARECO

The feeling of being welcomed into a private home, into a property steeped in history and tradition makes this hotel a special and timeless place for relaxation. Exquisite cuisine, refined service, gaucho traditions and equestrian sports add to the unique magic of La Bamba.

The master house at La Bamba is built around the main courtyard, with a well-endowed library in the guard tower and a panoramic gallery opening onto the park. The cottage, the house sheltered by a vine arbour, the stables, the summer dining room and the former inn make up the majority of the buildings that surround the casco. Nestling in the midst of a magnificent park, this typical colonial style ensemble houses rooms and suites spread over three buildings, with several reception rooms, a billiard room, a bar, a massage room and a boutique.

EOLO

embodies the spirit of Patagonia. Built on the land where the first creole and European immigrants of the area initially set foot, one can’t help but sense the aura of adventure that the thousands of travelers who journeyed through this area have left behind. The hotel is conveniently located halfway between the city of El Calafate and Los Glaciares National Park, yet far from the commotion of the tourist activity in the area. The property stands on a 10,000 acre estancia, and is close to the most important southern icons – The Andes Mountains, the lakes and the glaciers – while immersed in the steppe’s windy silence. From anywhere on the property, and from all of its 17 rooms, guests can witness the magnificence of a scenery that exposes its soul to the privileged eyes. The hotel’s gastronomy brings together the best of the two worlds – using regional products while, at the same time, applying international cuisine techniques and aesthetics. All of the wines come exclusively from Argentine wineries, from the country’s top vineyards.
