In the afternoon, your guide will meet you in the lobby and take you on a short introduction tour of the nearby area. The tour will take you through the heart of the city, also known as the historic center, Gamla Stan. The narrow streets and colorful houses represent the oldest site in the city and from where Stockholm extended. You are bound to be charm, by the atmosphere in the quirky streets, while also learning about the history of Sweden.

Day 5: Djurgården

You will meet your guide in the lobby in the morning and together you will go to the impressive Vasa Museum. It houses the Vasa ship, which sank in the 17th century and was lifted on to land in the 1960s. The museum is one of the best in Sweden and offers its visitors a truly unforgettable experience. After your visit to the museum, we recommend lunch at the nearby Trädgårdskafé. Located in the remarkable Rosendal Trädgård garden. Rosendal's garden is an open garden, with the main purpose of presenting biodynamic (organic) garden cultivation to the general public and the cozy little café serves lunch made from fresh produce from the gardens. In the afternoon you will have time to explore on your own. For dinner, we recommend you visit elegant restaurant Prinsen for classic Swedish meatballs.

Day 6: Archipelago sailing

Today you will explore the breathtaking Stockholm archipelago as you sail out on a unique adventure on a motored yacht. You will be picked up in the city center and thus be able to see Stockholm from the waterside, before venturing out on a day tour to the archipelago. Consisting of some 30000 islands this is the largest archipelago in Sweden. The landscape of the archipelago is constantly developing, leaving it to be one of the most fascinating experiences around Stockholm. Your private captain will take you around to see as many of the smaller islands as possible and tell you the story of how it obtained its current shape. You will have lunch either on board the boat or on one of the small islands. After your mesmerizing tour you will return to the city and have time on your own before dinner, which we recommend you enjoy at Wedholm’s Fisk.
