Today, the place is used for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming the king’s guests, State guests, and other foreign dignitaries. You will explore two main zones, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the former royal residence. Using that as an impetus, the show directors spent months sifting through photographic libraries to assemble a montage of images and short archival film clips that trace Cambodia’s recent history. Using themes of Angkor temples, entertainment and politics and war, this 40-min show unearths rare and powerful images, mashing the archival with the popular. The doors and the bar open at 6:30pm, with the show starting at 7pm. A local dinner will be served communal style with other diners after the presentation.
