Thailand has a population of over 65 million people. It spans an area of 198,000 square feet. The capital of Thailand is Bangkok. Many people that travel to Thailand make it a point to see some of the iconic temples, such as Was Pho, Wat Arun, and Wat Phra Kaew.

Day 1: ARRIVE IN BANGKOK WITH FAST TRACK SERVICE

Upon arrival at Bangkok Airport, an airport representative will greet you at arrival gate with your names on a signboard. You will then be lead through fast track immigration counters for immigration procedures followed by baggage collection. After clearing customs, your guide will be waiting at arrival hall and arrange your private transfer to hotel.

Day 2: HALF DAY PRIVATE TOUR OF GRAND PALACE, WAT PO & GOLDEN MOUNT TEMPLE

Enjoy a relaxing morning. This afternoon, visit the Grand Palace with the Emerald Buddha, the famous Wat Po Temple and enjoy sunset views from the Golden Mount Temple. Constructed in 1782, the Grand Palace in Bangkok is one of the most important highlights as it was a former residence for King Rama I to King Rama V of the Rattanakosin Kingdom. Today, the place is used for hosting royal ceremonies and welcoming the king’s guests, State guests, and other foreign dignitaries. You will explore two main zones, the Temple of the Emerald Buddha and the former royal residence.

Located south of the Grand Palace, Wat Po is the most iconic temple in Bangkok and also known as the Temple of the Reclining Buddha. It houses the largest collection of Buddha images in Thailand and the famous 150 ft. long reclining Buddha. It is also the birthplace of traditional Thai massage which is still taught and practiced in the temple.

Then take a short tuk tuk ride around the old town past some iconic sights. At sundown, visit The Golden Mount, known locally as Wat Saket Temple. Climb up 300 short steps on a wide stairway that spirals up and around the sides of the mount. It is not a strenuous climb as the slope is gentle and there are areas to stop and rest. You'll be rewarded with panoramic views of the city once you’re at the top!

Day 3: MORNING THONBURI FOODIE WALK AND CANAL CRUISE EVENING MUAY THAI BOXING MATCH

Meet your specialist foodie guide this morning at your hotel lobby for a private transfer to Thonburi, located on the other side of Chao Praya River. Starting first at Talat Phlu, this famous local neighborhood is renowned among local foodies. Visit a local fresh market while tasting authentic Thai breakfast snacks from street vendors. Then take a short boat ride along a river canal to Bang Luang to visit a famous artist home where you will sample another 2 famous local dishes at nearby small eateries, including the award winning “Choo Chee River Prawn”. Hop on back to your private boat and cruise to Wat Rakang area where you will visit one of the temples frequented by locals for blessing rituals.
Your final stop will be the enormous Wang Lang Market where you will join mostly local office workers grabbing lunch from tons of small eateries, street vendors while shopping for fashion accessories or clothing. Here you will sit down in a very famous local restaurant to sample a variety of regional dishes from Central and Northeastern regions of Thailand. It’s a guarantee no one leaves the tour feeling hungry! Return back to Bangkok with your guide by public ferry across the Chao Praya, here your driver will take you back to hotel, arriving around 2pm.
Later this evening, meet another city guide and driver for a private transfer to a local Thai boxing ring for an exciting Muay Thai match with ringside seats. After the match, transfer back to hotel, or to a restaurant for dinner.

Day 4: FLY TO CHIANG MAI AFTERNOON CITY TOUR

Transfer to airport for flight to Chiang Mai. Upon arrival at Chiang Mai Airport, you will be welcomed and enjoy an authentic lunch at a famous local restaurant that specializes in “Khao Soy”, the iconic northern curry noodle dish. Later today, enjoy a private tour of some iconic temples in the city including Wat Chedi Luang and Wat Phra Singh. Stop by a small temple for a short private blessing ritual performed by a local monk.
At sundown when the crowd leaves, head up to Wat Prathat Doi Suthep, the temple located on Doi Suthep. You can walk up the 300 steps or take an elevator up to the temple. After admiring the surrounding views, head back to your hotel and explore the night markets on your own.

Day 6: FULL DAY PRIVATE KAREN VILLAGE TREK & MAE WANT ELEPHANT CARE

After breakfast, meet your guide at hotel at 8:30am and travel by a local pick-up truck with comfortable seating. Proceed first to a local market to buy some feeding food for your elephants. Then continue on a scenic 2-hour drive along rolling hills, charming views of villages and temples around the countryside of Chiang Mai. Stop by Maewang waterfalls, one of the most beautiful places inside Maewang National park. It's possible to have a quick swim if you wish. Continue next to the dazzling chapel of the Wat Tham Phranon, known as the cave of the reclining Buddha.
Then take a hike (~2 hours) in the jungle passing by rice fields to visit the Karen hill tribe people at Baan Thung Luang village. Here you will learn about the Karen culture and their life style, then experience a special “jungle” picnic lunch where food will be cooked served in bamboo stems and banana leaves.
After lunch continue to an elephant camp. The Karen people are experts with elephant training. You will meet a Karen instructor to learn some basic commands and learn more about the background story of your elephants. You will then accompany the elephants for a stroll along the beautiful trail in the forest while they feast on favorite food; grass and sugarcane. Take a bath in the river with your elephant in the river before returning to your hotel around 6pm.

Day 6: AFTERNOON VILLAGE COOKING CLASS

Enjoy a relaxing morning. This afternoon prepare yourself for a full day experience with a local Thai family! The home you are visiting belongs to the Raunkaew-Yanon family, whose ancestors arrived in the area possibly on the back of an elephant almost 150 years ago. This Lanna family continues with the traditions of many generations in building their houses with teak wood and maintaining the natural surroundings in a way rarely seen now in Chiang Mai. This is not a normal commercial cooking class as you will learn more about their traditional culture, way of living and the architecture of a traditional Thai house. The family orchard has many types of fruits such as banana, mango and coconut. Together with your hosts, you will learn to cook authentic Northern Thailand dishes using traditional recipes . After your hard work in the kitchen, you will enjoy dinner with your local host and learn more about their family history.

Day 7: FLY TO PHUKET - SPEEDBOAT TO KOH YAO ISLAND

Transfer to airport for a flight to Phuket. Upon arrival at Phuket Airport, you will be welcomed by a representative for a private transfer to the boat pier, followed by a private speed boat transfer (55min) to your resort at Koh Yao Noi island. A hidden oasis surrounded by scenic views of Phang Nga Bay, Koh Yao Noi offers a tranquil hideaway for those seeking an off-beaten path paradise away from the crowds. For the rest of your stay, you can choose to relax at your beachfront resort or arrange additional activities with your resort. This area offers a range of activities catering to all fitness levels from snorkeling, diving, island hopping to kayaking around sea caves by the picturesque Phang Nga Bay.

Day 10: DEPART FROM PHUKET INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

Check-out time is 12noon. Transfer to Phuket Airport by speedboat and private car for onward journey.

SALA RATTANAKOSIN BANGKOK

A stylish 4 stars boutique hotel located by the riverside with just 15 rooms. This hotel is just a few minutes’ walk from Wat Po Temple and the Grand Palace. It does not have facilities like pool and gym, but it has the most stunning rooms with a direct view of Wat Arun Temple across the temple. Views are especially breathtaking at night when the temple is lit up. Restaurant is well known for its gourmet breakfast, the roof top bar serves delicious cocktails and local cuisine. Surrounding area is very quiet at night due to its proximity to the Grand Palace, but a short 10min taxi ride to Khao San Road area where you can find many restaurants and bars.
